Senior Games and SilverArts

Prove what's possible. Registration for the 2026 Senior Games and SilverArts will open Jan. 5, 2026.

Held at multiple locations in the Mecklenburg County area

The Mecklenburg County Senior Games and SilverArts are annual, multievent sports and arts competitions for adults ages 50 and older. The games foster friendly competition and camaraderie at the local, state and national levels, and promote healthy aging. Mecklenburg County Senior Games and SilverArts competitions take place each spring.

Eligibility

50 Years and Older...

and have lived in North Carolina for 3 consecutive months of the past 12 months

Residents of other states, including South Carolina, are not eligible for the Mecklenburg County competitions.

 

To compete in the statewide, North Carolina Senior Games or SilverArts, you must medal at the local competitions. Likewise, to compete at the national level, you must medal in the state competitions.

Registration

Opens January 5 With Early Bird Registration

A link to register will be provided on Jan. 5. Registration will close Feb. 20. 

Fees

Early Bird Registration for a Mecklenburg County Resident: $20 online or $25 by paper

 

Early Bird Registration for a Nonresident: $23 online or $28 by paper

 

Regular Registration for a Mecklenburg County Resident: $30 online or $35 by paper

 

Regular Registration for a Nonresident:  $33 online or $38 by paper

 

Some events may have additional fees

Mecklenburg County residents pay a lower fee to participate in the Mecklenburg County competitions than North Carolina residents who live outside the county.

Events will take place at multiple locations in the Mecklenburg County area. County facilities that will host events include, but are not limited to the following.

Promoting health and wellness for individuals 50 and older, the annual Mecklenburg County Senior Games and SilverArts provide a forum to meet people, enjoy healthy competition, be creative and to have fun!
