American Legion Memorial Stadium and the Grady Cole Center
American Legion Memorial Stadium and the Grady Cole Center are sports and special events venues located on the campus of Central Piedmont Community College in uptown Charlotte.
American Legion Memorial Stadium
The American Legion Memorial Stadium is home to Charlotte Independence and Carolina Ascent FC professional soccer teams and serves as a venue for many events and festivals throughout the year. The stadium, which first opened in 1936, is named in honor of Mecklenburg County veterans who served in World War I.
Grady Cole Center
The Grady Cole Center is home to the Charlotte Roller Derby and serves as a venue for many community events and concerts. The center, which opened in 1956, is named after longtime WBT Radio morning personality, Grady Cole.
