This Library Board’s Executive Committee is having an emergency meeting on Thursday, June 19th at 2:00pm at the Foundation for the Carolinas, 220 N Tryon St, Charlotte, NC 28202. 

The purpose of the meeting will be to allow a forum for the Fire Chiefs to share their thoughts about Medic and other concerns

Notice is hereby given that a Special Meeting of the Mecklenburg Board of County Commissioners will be held on July 30, 2025, at 2 p.m. at the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Government Center in Room 267. The purpose of this meeting is to discuss and take action on language to be included in a resolution directing the Board of Elections to conduct an advisory referendum on Nov. 4, 2025, on whether a local sales and use tax at the rate of one percent (1%) may be levied in accordance with the procedures of G.S. 163-287. A public hearing on the action item is scheduled on Aug. 6, 2025, at 6:30 p.m. or as soon as reached on the agenda at the Board’s regular scheduled meeting after which the Board will vote on whether to place the item on the November ballot.  

County Commissioners who are not members of the Equity Investment Ad-Hoc Committeecan attend the meeting under Board Policy and therefore, there may be more than four Commissioners in attendance.
